Support Groups

Support Groups

Whilst you may receive plenty of care and support from family and friends, support groups can be an invaluable way of connecting with people who have gone through or are going through a similar experience to you, and who truly understand.

Support groups provide the chance to share information, ask questions and talk openly and honestly about your worries without judgement. They can help you to feel less alone, and give you invaluable advice and knowledge to help you cope with your treatment and recovery.

Whatsapp support group

Whatsapp support group

The WBUH WhatsApp support group now has over 150 patients. The group is a safe space where patients share experiences, ask questions and help and support each other. Everyone ‘gets it’ and we always say that no question is a daft one.

You can be as involved as little or as much as you like. Some members choose not to partake in conversations, but still feel very much supported as observers. As with all our support services, we want the group to work for you.

Contact Jacquie Clements (jacquie.clements@nhs.net) or Corinna Parsons (corinna.parsons@nhs.net) for more information or to be added to the group.
