Craft Group

Drop in for crafting with this large and lively group every Thursday. From crocheting to willow-weaving, there is always a fun project on the go, but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Whether you are a beginner or an expert crafter, everyone is welcome along for coffee, craft and chat. There will be someone on hand who can help, advise, teach and encourage a wide variety of crafts!

A small donation is welcomed to help towards venue costs, refreshments and materials.  Special craft sessions are also organised from time to time - glass staining for example - which need to be pre-booked with a charge to cover materials.

The craft group meets every Thursday, from 1pm - 3pm at Woodgreen Church, Hastings Drive, Worcester, WR4 0SR.

The group is led by Wendy Phelps, so please contact Wendy at wendyp6pc@yahoo.co.uk if you have any questions, would like more information or to join the group.

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking is a highly effective exercise which is safe and easy to learn, and is particularly helpful to improve mobility and strength in the upper body.

Involving special poles, the movement ensures that the body is getting a good workout, whilst being a gentle – and sociable! – form of exercise.  Getting out in the fresh air is also nature’s tonic, helping to boost your mood, and alleviate fatigue. Nordic Walking could also help manage the symptoms of lymphoedema.

These wellbeing walks are run by Sue Sneath, and run all year round. The group meet at The Countryside Centre in Worcester every Monday at 12.30pm.

Sessions run in blocks of 6 weeks, with the first block fully funded by WBUH.  For all subsequent blocks, patients offer a small contribution of £30 (£5 per session).
